The company headquarters of Roman Klis Design have been located in Atlantis since 2004. For more than three years, Roman Klis collected architectural ideas and impressions throughout the whole world and realised them in this new concept of life and work. The idea of an island of creative individuals developed – the Atlantis of the modern industrial and service society. The building, which accommodates Zen style elements, plays ingeniously with the elements air, light, and water. Water is the focus of the architectural staging – symbol of the legendary island of the same name. The architecture is based on perfect symmetry and the harmonious interaction of functionality, aesthetics, and emotion. Two gently curved wings hold a three-story, filigree designed glass cube in their centre, which serves as reception, conference room, cafeteria, and lounge. Coming over a bridge one enters the light-flooded entrance area, which has a soothing effect with its water reflections. The following terrace with its large sun sails immediately provides for a relaxed atmosphere and is gladly used by all coworkers for small breaks and for the creative exchange of ideas. Passing islands made of paving stones the two wings of the building are accessed with their office spaces. A flight of winding stairs leads upward to both conference rooms and to the roof terrace, which provides a marvellous view of the pictorial landscape of the Schönbuch and Swabian Alb. Beside Roman Klis Design, the enterprise stoll & fischbach eBusiness, consulting and solution partners for digital communication has its headquarter in Atlantis.
